I am looking for a peep sight for a TC Renegade or Hawken....I know TC makes one #7194. Can anyone help??? At this point I will pay almost anything! Almost lol

Change that 'makes' to 'made'. And if you find one expect it to be in that 'I'll pay anything' price range.

I suggest you save your money . . .my TC #7194 is extremely CRUDE . . . .

Rather, get the Lyman 57 . . .Much, much better.

I have an early one (steel, not aluminum) and much prefer it.

Yep. The TC sight is caveman crude. But it's compact and solid as a rock..........once you finally get it adjusted. But then you're stuck with whatever load/bullet/yardage you set it up for. With the Lyman just dial it up or down, right or left for any situation. But if you put the Lyman on a Renegade you need to grind a little clearance on the underside or use a spacer. Or take the easy/ugly way out & rasp a notch on yer stock.

I can’t believe you’d say such a thing! I’ve seen a couple rifles butchered that way… good lord! What a hot mess!

Yeah. I did not want to cut a hole in my stock for a Lyman. I picked up the TC sight several years ago. Yes, it is crude to adjust. But...I do not change my sights very often. I set it on my hunting load. On paper I am more looking for groups than where the shots go so I probably will never reset the sight.

I've had a few that were boogered up by lazy sight installations too. That's why I specifically said the easy way is the ugly way.

I think it's really hard to beat the Lyman 57 for a peep sight. I put one on a GM barrel...on a TC Hawken, and I can't imagine anything that would shoot better. I've been shooting matches for many years, and that is probably the most accurate combo I've ever tried.
