Could anyone please help me as I would like to know if a TC rear sight click adjustable type will fit on a CVA mountain rifle which has a primative type sight which has a 3/8 dovetail sight base, as i would like to change over to a TC sight on my CVA.

TC's adjustable rear sights install with two mounting screws into the top of the barrel

ok thanks roundball for the info as i was not sure how the were fixed to the barrel, so I would the have to drill and tap barrel to mount the TC sights.

Before doing all that, if it was me, I'd chreck with Brownell's...they carry standard dovetail rear sights that are adjustable..."Williams" brand I think...excellent sights.

I replaced the rear "ramp-adjustable" sight on a Marlin lever action octogon barrel with a fixed sight looking design, but it had small screws that allowed you to adjust a thin flat plate vertically & horizontally...at first glance it looks like a fixed, primitive sight, but is actually adjustable.

roundball, I've just checked out the Brownell's site and found the Williams sights they are called "WDOS" open sights and looks like the way to go about it rather than drill and tap the barrel. Will look at seeing if they would be interested in shipping to Australia.

:thanks:

Track of the wolf has a sight similar to a TC sight that fits to a dovetail.Or you can make an insert for the dovetail yuorself that is tapped to accept the screw from the TC sight.

Thanks for the good info as this has helped me alot now what to do, I think I may go to TC rear sight which I can pick up new on ebay for $20 USD which is alot cheaper than what they are here in Australia for around $60+ AU
