Looking for a decent, not perfect 1in octagon TC Renegade, Hawken or drop-in barrel. I picked up a nice gun with a really rough barrel for my nephew, a new shooter. His first ML. Looking for I nexpensive but decent shape bore and finish. Thx. Jim

Others on the forum can give you more recent prices, it's been a few years since I had one done. I would guess a smoothbore maybe $100 to $125, rifled a little more.

Believe a Bobby Hoyt rebore to a rifled bore will cost about $150 including shipping both ways. Most decent TC barrels I see start at that price and go up from there - selling price is another topic. Roached out barrels seem to sell for $50 to maybe $75, sometimes less if you are lucky. Do the math and decide.

There is a 1" TC Hawken barrel on the ALR site right now. A little on the heavy side but he might deal.

I just had two barrels relined by Robert Hoyt and it cost $200 per barrel with return shipping.

Re-line might run a little more in price than a smooth boring job or re rifle. I'm thinking that there would be more work involved for a re line.
