I see a Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle that was made by B C Miroku in Japan. They have really good barrels. I've owned 2, should never have sold the first (about 40 years ago), but still have the 2nd.

Ok That one I wasn't real sure of the Tingle pistol and the 58 Cal Zouave were very interesting

I bought a L&R replacement lock for my Dixie TMR, but have not installed it. The frizzen fit was a little sloppy, but I sort of fixed it with a bead of J B Weld and some file work to seal the pan. It continues to spark well and has quick ignition, so I'm not fixin' it until its broke!

15/16" x 42" .50 is muzzle heavy, but I do my best offhand work with it.

I've heard that some of the early TMRs had 7/8" barrels, but can't confirm it.

The Tingle pistol has a reputation for accuracy in the 40 caliber version. The model has been sold by several Italian manufacturers in 44 caliber. Technically the Tingle is not representative of a Traditional pistol and shouldn't be talked about on the Forum although it occasionally slips past the moderators.

@ADK Bigfoot is correct about the Dixie Mountain Rifle.

Not sure of the third rifle.

The second gun was described as a Zouave. I am glad I am checking with you guys as these are outside of the stuff I usually go after. I will have a chance to see them in person this week and get a better understanding of them.

A Zouave is a late period Civil Way musket; 1863 Remington. It is not a sporting rifle by any means. It is .58 caliber and shoots minie balls and patched round balls. The third gun you show is not one of those.

Appreciate it ADK I have not had time to research it yet will get my hands on the gun and see what I can find out any ideas what the second set of pics may be.

I just finished an L&R upgrade on TMR #133. I’ll confirm the barrel is indeed 7/8 and the stock is walnut rather than cherry. This rifle is very well balanced compared to my later TMR “Double Trouble” (#6969) with the 15/16 barrel and cherry stock. Old DT also sports an L&R upgrade. For the record both rifles are excellent shooters.

The other rifle looks like some production version of a percussion trade rifle with a Carolina reverse curl guard on it. With the O/R barrel and no back sight it is probably a smoothbore.
