Please advise, what is the effect of cold temperature, storing black powder. No other factor, only temperature.
Thank you, Woodbutcher

Has been found in old cannons that were stored exposed to outside temps.BP is remarkably stable. Powder from over 100 years ago still goes bang.
You can put it in a cold, dry place even a freezer and it will keep longer than you and I will be on this earth and then some. In my area there were several "Civil War" battles that occured. The cannon balls that people had found still had Black powder inside them that was not harmed. I keep film, medicine and any perishables in the refrigerator. It is the ideal storage area. Please advise, what is the effect of cold temperature, storing black powder. No other factor, only temperature.
