Well last day of the muzzleloader season... though I would give it one more try this evening... See how it goes off work with the flu ... Why not because thing will start to get harder after tomorrow...

I’m sticking with the ML. I’ll kill one with it or I won’t kill anything at all. I’m hard headed like that. 🙂

Oh yeah me too... That is all I will use ever... muzzleloader or bow ...

I’m sure this is old news to most of you guys, but since that is my first traditional ML kill I wanted to find the round ball. Couldn’t find it and thought I’d lost it in the gut pile. Well, I butchered that deer today and look what I found!

Was it just stuck in the offside of the hide?

Yeah, @New bp shooter, about 4” behind where it would have exited. It was weird the way I found it. I had finished skinning and got to looking at the bloodshot portion on the outside of the ribs and wondered why it ran so far behind the hole. Cut it open and the ball was wedged between the outside of the ribs and that clear membrane. So I guess it didn’t have enough umph to pop thru the skin so it kinda skidded sideways on the outside of the ribs.
