Hi Albert,

I wish I could help you out with shooting info for Mission, but I just don't know the area. However, if he is passing through the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and has time or just needs a rest, he is more than welcome to come shoot with me. I could also introduce him to THE best BBQ in the state! (Sorry, my fellow Texans about that last remark. ::)

If interested, PM me and I can give you my contact info.

Now you are going to be changeing the subject but as it has been taken care of. Name this best BBQ place I just want to know if I have tried it or not. My Mother-in-law coming down here for BBQ and she lives in FtWorth so if it's not your back yard where is it.

Silverfox,

Well, there are actually two that are equals in my book. I suggest you try both to see which you like the best. For BBQ I will only go to one of two places:

The Feedstore in Southlake (on White's Chapel Rd.)

or

Riscky's in Fort Worth at the Stockyards.

Which is the better of the two? Depends on the day of the week. Have you been to either of them?

Definately Riscky's! If you're in Ft.Worth also try Tex-Mex at El Rancho Grande.
How many from the DFW area do we have here?
Jim

wilded has it right.

if you're in Texas then get out of those big cities.. ::

You need to drive Highway 29 "the BBQ" highway LLANO - MASON & possibly Brady.

All the rest are just cityfied imitations.... :):imo:

:peace:

Gotta put in a plug for the Eastern side of the state, boys. The Bar B Que PIT, Warren, Texas, Tyler County at the intersection of USHwy 69/287 and FM1943.
Best Sliced or chopped beef samich ever slapped on a plate.
Been eatin' there for 40 years now.
And if you ever get down to Beaumont Way, I can round up some buddies and we can burn some powder together.

I am starting to get the idea that all anyone has to do is come into any part of Texas to find good food.
Has anyone found any bad BBQ anywhere?
Why do places like KC think they know how to cook cow?
Jim
