Want to complain about muzzleloading dying off? Well do nothing and it WILL happen. We make it a point to involve youth in black powder whenever possible.

And here we go! Match is underway and the fog is getting thicker by the second. If you never have been to a N-SSA match, there is no describing the noise, the smoke and pace of competition. The noise isn't just muskets booming, but also of minies whistling downrange, impact of minies on harder targets can be heard, and shooters shouting encouragement to their teams.

In many old organizations, some traditions fall by the wayside as the membership ages. The march into the range by the N-SSA members is one of those. There is a group of us actively working to revive that tradition and we march into the range with drums, fifes and colors. It doesn't matter what side, we honor all those who fought and invite all units to fall in.
