Would like to know if anyone owns or has experience with the Hawken rifle that The Gun Shop sells. Looks like a build to order rifle, not off the shelf and all components are USA made with options for wood grade and LOP.

I was leaning into getting a Pedersoli Rocky Mountain but now am looking harder at half stock USA replicas builds. Curious to know how TGS builds compare in quality to the Pedersoli.
Thank You

I haven’t personally handled the Hawken from The Gun Shop, but it sounds interesting, especially with the build-to-order option and all-USA components. I’ve had a chance to shoot a Pedersoli Rocky Mountain and it was solid—good craftsmanship and accuracy.

I recently visited a Coon Rapids MN gun store and they had some impressive USA-made replicas there. They really highlighted the quality of their custom builds and showed me a few different options. If you’re considering a half-stock USA build, it might be worth seeing what other local shops have to offer and comparing their builds to the Pedersoli.

That rifle from the Gunworks looks pretty good and considering the custom features, it's not a bad deal. A kit from The Hawken Shop would run you $1,600, not a beginner's kit.
