i shoot 60 grains every once in awhile for fun, but if i actually want to hit what im aiming at mine shoots best with 20 grains.

20 grains ? Whats that ?
Not sure if I would notice it go off ?
I would like to try some Conicals , since it was designed for them someday . I would gander the Mounted Riflemen only shot full loads ?
Lowest I have ever gone is 40
. Plenty accurate , for me .Guess I am a warthog

with 40 grains im at the top of 8x11 paper at 25 yards. 60 grains, i think im in the corn field 150 yards away

Now thats funny, I dont care who you are ! :rotf:
Original question is there anyone that LIKES to do 60 , hee hee

Looks like you've got a loose lever there Skippy!

Gee, I'd say with over 34,000 posts in "handguns" alone, the forum is "rolling" pretty good. Welcome aboard.

You got that right Jack , Skippy does have a loose lever  , just one of many chores I aint gettin to anytime soon  ....
I think I will be trying the flatening out of the latch spring tab when I do though . It only happens at 50 to 60 grains though , and I aint in a hurry to cock and fire  . My normal load is 40 .
I have often pondered doing a Third Model Dragoon latch upgrade, but then it would'nt be a Walker now would it . You ever seen that video over on Cas with that Pardner shooting his Walker and with every shot dropping the revolver over his leg to re-latch it, very cool . I would imagine the Mounted Riflemen did the same
Cheers, and thanks for the welcome
Kelly Reb out :v

They did, but these are made from modern steel, my Walkers are made by Uberti, I use 2f in the Walkers.

a walker was my first cap and ball pistol. i liked the full loads. in fact i could distory an 8" cement block with one cylander full.

i got tired of the loading leaver comming down. so i got rid of it and got second model dragoon.

I love fire and smoke , Texas is pretty awsome too

Kelly Reb out , thanks for the pics Neely
