A short time ago I aquired a TC New Englander 12 guage that had been converted to flintlock. Yesterday I finally took it out to the range and I was impressed with it. The lock time seemed to be rather fast on many shots although there was a noticeable delay at times.

This is the last week of Massachusetts wild turkey season and according to the weathermen we're to get rain every day of the week. I did settle on a load of 100 grains of FFG with a 2 ounce load of no 6 chilled shot. Nice pattern and it should kill a turkey humanely at 25 to 30 yards.

Good Luck on your hunt! Let us know how it goes, whether pictures of the tom, or stories of the day.
