Since joining this forum, I have been able to answer all my questions by simply searching older posts and reading the answers. While I was hoping to engage with you all, I haven't been able to due to all the previous knowledge. Glad to have joined. I am not traditionally true to the craft, but make most of my own stuff. Currently just own a traditions kit build in .50, I feel it's a gateway, and will be wanting to upgrade and expand soon.

You are correct. A wealth of knowledge in past posts. Many of the gents that started early on in the 60's and lived through the resurgence of muzzleloading in this country used to post here. Sadly they have passed on.

seek help immediately! this is how it starts!
first a traditions, or a Cva. then a Thompson center, then a Lyman , then a browning, then a Pecatonica kit, then a Kibler kit....................
welcome.
I’m John, and I’m a BP maniac/shooter… (Oh, wait.. some feller named Mark already uses that… 😉)

Oh you poor boy
You have tasted the gateway drug and never again in your life will you feel satisfied. Always the sirens song will always be in your ear.
🎶you just need a new… come on you know you want it, it will feel right, just a little tweak just a little peek, come on boy our garden is so full,
Antler measures and powder horns. Knifes without number
Do you need a weskit
Do you need a capote
Do you need a flint lock
Do you need a steel
Come on boy, you know you want it
Copper pots and tin
You know it ain’t no sin
Come in to our garden pick what fruits you seek’’
Coming up fifty years I’ve followed their singing and it’s still sweet in my ears.

You have earned great respect using the search button, it's a hot topic for some; but don't be afraid to ask common questions or start a disscussion, it's why most of us come here; to talk muzzleloaders on a muzzleloader forum.

Some gripe about new guys asking beginners questions that have been on 632 threads so far. They say "just research it" for yourself. I say they came here and asked and that right there is some dang fine research! They came to "the" source and asked those that know by doing not "alexia said" . Search is great too for you (no not me) ol timers that cant recall and dont wanna have to join as a newbie under a new ID and ask. LOL.

BTW your photo shows you are quite handy at DIY. We all like that here! Welcome
