Alright so I receive a box in the mail with items and a diagram for what RC would like for an organized woods walk bag. A challenging project to say the least. First step was to decipher the diagram he drew out. :haha: After doing that and making a couple of suggestions, I went to work trying to make an organized RC proof bag for him.

I tackled the one piece 50" strap first. Cut it out of Mocc weight Elk leather, then I stitched it to another stronger leather for backing. All 500 + stitches and 6 hours later, it made for a good strap that should last for years. Then I mounted his ball starter to it where he wanted it.

Then I made a centered pocket on the inside of the rear of the bag for his ball bag. Flanked that with his finter ring and a pair of pliers.

Tomorrow I tackle the front of the bag. :haha: Fun project!

It's really time for a new bag.
:hatsoff:

Thanks guys, the challenge today is to make a pocket to protect his flat primer horn.

Amazingly Undertaker, I only stuck myself 3 times so far making this bag. Well...three times that drew blood lol.

swampy likes challenges! next he's gonna attempt a hat..with organizing pockets..?? .. and something to protect the soft spots.. should i be offended? wait let me check my "organizing pocket.." wait.....wait...left side? back? SWAMPY!

don't MATTER! I AM! and if ya decide to actually let me have it i'll be delirous.er!.. that is gonna be so cool! no knifey today?

Before I get started, RC asked a question about the pockets, heres a pic on how I tackled the the ball bag pocket. I cut out 1" wide strips for the sides and bottom after taking measurements of the ball bag and stitched these to the pockets face. When I then stitched the whole thing to the bag, I found the ball bag fit but a little looser than I wanted. Looking it over, the solution was to put 3 or 4 stitches at the top of the sides, pinching down the top of the pocket. Sorta looks like looking at a brown paper bag from the side.

Very cool Swampy and I like the organizers. There's nothing I despize more than trying to find a small item when I know it's in there. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!! :hatsoff:
