SOLD The Real McCoy LH .36

This is a near mint, unfired left handed JP McCoy flintlock in .36. These were built by JP Gunstocks in Las Vegas in the late 80s or 90s. Its 38" browned barrel is 1:66 and has a beautiful bore. I believe they used Green Mountain barrels and L&R locks. Best pic my fancy new endoscope can take. But I know I won't need an expensive colonoscopy for awhile. The nicely figured Maple stock is iron mounted and hardly a mark on it. Barrel held to stock with screws through ramrod pipes like Hatfield rifles and rifle is of the Hatfield style.LOP is 14.75" and rifle weighs about 7 5#. $1200 + Shipping. I will try and get that bore pic up later. It's in there, but in a file I can't upload from.

The bore is mirror bright. Probably unfired. The patch in listing is from first swab. I do this every time to show how guns come to me. The bore scope is cheap, but look at rifling past the fuzz.

The fuzz is light reflecting off the rifling which has not seen a ball. Machining residue which gets lapped out. I took the guts out of a light pen and got a halfway decent photo of bore at muzzle by holding light in one hand and phone in the other

Wish I could afford it. I need to learn how to shoot left handed since we'll I'm cross eye dominant. And there aren't as many left handed people out there as right handed therefore with it being left handed it probably hasn't been beat up from use like the right-handed has. Also since there are so few left handed folk out there they kinda have to make it look a lil better to get someone interested in it.

Trust me, southpaw shooters get the s**t end of the stick on virtually EVERYTHING firearms related...As I quickly learned after I sustained an eye injury in an automobile accident & had to switch to left hand shooting of all long guns.

Anyway, I hope this one sells soon... As I need another 36 rifle like I need woman trouble!
