I have both.
Even though the metallurgy in these guns can handle stout 60 gr loads better than the original, I see no reason to do so. Just like most of you also don't shoot maximum loads in your modern guns.
Thr Walker has two drawbacks.
One it is heavy, barrel end heavy
two the loading lever drops after almost every shot.
It is fun to shoot and there are fixes for the lever.
I have not noticed any of the so called battering.
The dragoon especially 3rd model with rounded trigger guard, is better balanced and not quite as heavy.
And with the 40 to 50 grain load is plenty stout.
I'd recommend the Dragoon over the Walker.
