My little country range opens back up for me tomorrow...planning to be there at first light to beat the heat & humidity...have to rezero the .62cal smoothbore Flinter with shot loads after trying to shoot round balls out of it a few weeks ago...will try it on squirrels this fall for a change of pace

Squirrel huntin' with a smoothie...sounds like fun :front:

Man, when the Sun came up over the range this morning, it was a huge beautiful dark red color...the air was gray it was so heavy with moisture...took a 22" window fan and had it blowing right on me but it was still miserable.

I guess the up side is that I got to make smoke, and got my .62cal rezeroed with a 40yd turkey load, so there's one more thing done and ready for this coming season.

PS: It's also always easy to wipe the bore and pan in these conditions...they turn glistening wet in seconds after a shot ::
