I like them underhammer pistols and would like to know more about them and get some plans and parts for making one! Does anyone still make a kit for them anymore?

Shot one this weekend and I'm hooked and can't get up!

Look for Herschel Logan's book "Underhammer Guns" http://www.amazon.com/Underhammer-guns-Herschel-C-Logan/dp/B0007E57ES

I found one on E-bay for $9.00

Also http://www.dixiegunworks.com/product_info.php?products_id=14531

Our own
John Taylor, John Taylor Machine, www.johntaylormachine.com
phone: 253-445-4073 has made them.

I might still have some underhammer parts in storage but will not be
able to look till next spring.

What type of underhammer did you shoot?

Tinker2, It was a H&A Boot Gun that was modified by someone other than the person who let me take a few shots with it. Nothing fancy! Please keep me in mind when you look next Spring and thanks for all the information.

Friend of mine made this for a pistol competitor back in the 1960s.

Dan,

That is a beauty. You have to love the simplicity of an underhammer.

Simpilicity.....yes. That last gun is a beauty. A couple of levers and a spring.
The Greyhaven uses the trigger guard as the spring, only three moving parts counting the spring.
