I`ve seen a few posts where guys have replaced the wide front sight on their BlueRidge rifles with a thinner one.
Could someone post a link or part number of where i can get one.
Not enough light around the one that`s on it for these fadding eyes to line up.
Thanks.

file it thinner.

I`ve been seriously considering that, i`ll wait to see what`s available in a replacement first.
I already bought the blueing for after i filled it to height.

I just taped mine out and put it in a small vice and filed it down. take it slow and take an even number of strokes on each side till you get it as thin as you need it. that what I did and it worked great.

Have you ever thought of using a rear peep?

Or put a dab of whiteout on the front blade and then a very small white line on the rear sight that way you just line up the white line with the white dot. I use tape on the rear sight to make a small gap to apply the white out so it makes a very thin straight line.
I do this on all of my iron sight rifles and what a difference it makes.

I taped it all up and thinned it down quite a bit, at least i can see light on both sides now while looking through the rear sight.
The white line sounds like a good idea Blackfoot, thanks.
