This is the gun that I was looking at and ended up with. I was asking about Garner a while back.

well hot damn...
not bad for a "wal-mart" kind of guy.
I just ordered a new england fowler kit from him in 28 cal with a walnut stock.
he told me and I quote " it's getting so an average guy can't afford to build a gun"

Nice looking rifle for a fliter. I guess it's safe to assume your from West Virginia? :) Let us know how it shoots. Hope you enjoy your new rifle. :)

It took me a while to talk myself into getting this gun. :youcrazy: Then I though what the heck you don't see a luggage rack on a hearse do you, :rotf: I had a little cash and when for it.
It will be a while before I can get it out to the range. I have another lock ordered for it, browned. :yakyak:

Fine looking gun, and go mountaineers!!! We'll get togather and shoot'em sometime.

was this rifle used by the Mountaineer mascot or a limited edition gun? Looks pretty--a mixture of classic lines and modern laser 'engraving'.

It is one of a 1000 but it's a second. It has a scratch on the stock about 1 inch long and a small scratch up by the hammer. I am going to get them repaired. It was laser engraved. It is marked #77. I am going to shoot it but I am going to wait till I get the browned lock I order and change it out. I am not going to shoot it with the gold plated lock. I know it will burn off and I want to keep All parts in like new shape.
I have muzzleloaders that are over 15 to 20 years old and they look new. The sun will not set on a dirty gun as long as I am on this earth. :yakyak:
