I used Irish Spring for years hanging from the garden fence to keep deer away. Did a good job.
I used Irish Spring and water for years to clean the bore. Did a good job.
Might also explain why I never see deer when I take the muzzleloader into the woods.:rolleyes:

My neighbor put out Irish Spring to keep the deer out of his garden. My English Setter (avatar) ate it.
 
I used Irish Spring once in the army, it put me in the hospital for several days, skin rash. No wonder the deer dont like it.
Ya, it is extremely hard on your skin. Must be made from the cheapest possible ingredients, because I bought a whole case for the price of 2 bars of my usual soap.
 
I may have used it when I met my beloved... she’s Scots/Irish and I sure needed every edge. Something worked. Either the soap or my rugged good looks...
