I’ve been following him for quite a while. Long before he was on alone. Actually Whne he was making videos for backcountry outfitters or something like that. I knew whne he was selected for Alone that he would win. He’s highly intelligent, and an incredible outdoorsman. .
 
Spikebuck. Actually I did see that one, think he was in Alaska or Canada. I forgot about that. For me it became a matter of if I can't believe what I know is fake how can I trust the rest.
Alaska, IIRC. Took a bit to get him to an emergency center. Lucky no one was walking in front of him when it went off. I figured he was running on borrowed time carrying around a capped rifle with the hammer down on it like that. That was something I really didn't like because it's extremely dangerous and unknowing viewers might have thought it was OK to do that.

I hear you on your observations. My view was that the vast majority of viewers weren't catching any of that and were just seeing traditional arms in the field being effective. I think Trev Gowdy was the producer. He could have done better, but at least it was something to break the ice for larger audiences. 🙂
