Thompson Center 50 cal Firestorm flintlock rifle for sale. Poly stock. Stainless steel barrel and hardware. 1/48 twist designed to shoot conicals or patched round ball. The first inside 1” of the the barrel is smooth to allow you to start a conical in with thumb pressure designed by Thompson to do this. I have 10 shots through this. Like new, perfect bore ,sparks great, fiber optic sights, pull wedge pin out and barrel come off for easy cleaning and lastly the breech plug is designed to come out easily in order to pull conical loads. The Firestorm has a conical shaped breechplug to allow the use of Pyrodex pellets, so not a "patent breech" type. The pellet is supposed to straddle the cone so as to be better positioned for ignition.

Can I get another picture of the flintlock from the side? The picture you posted makes it look like about 1/2 of the touch hole is blocked by the pan!

Here is a side shot of the touch hole. The rounds that come with it are saboted bullets never shot these. Did try some patched round ball and they shot well at 50 yards.
