I have a couple b ot tc.flintlocks 1 pa hunter and 1 hawken have loose frizzens when open they wobble .when closed they seem tight and sealed and they function well.can I shim or is there a way to take the play out when open? Thank you in advance as I enjoy this group Regards...Jason. holgate

If you are talking side to side wiggle, look on the inside of your lack plate and see if the frizzen screw is snug/tight. Don't try to over tighten it. If you are talking about a little fore to aft wiggle when open, that requires someone knowledgeable about lock work to fix. It could be an issue where the hole through the frizzen toe is a little too big, but there is little you can do for that other than replacing the frizzen.

Now having written those responses, either way it wiggles is probably not going to be an issue with proper function if it is tight when closed.
