Carnivorous squirrels should NOT be underestimated; be prepared to administer a "butt stroke" if necessary. Here where I live there is a very (several, actually) dangerous critter I have yet to acquire the courage to hunt: the carnivorous snowshoe hare.

What!?!No sir. I rarely fuss with them although they do taste good. I just hate taking their tough hides off them.
I have 50 cal flint Kentucky, I used to take tree rats with it before they changed the laws. Now it's 40 cal or less. Mine has a 35 in. barrel also. Light as a feather. As I get older that light weight gest more appealing.Hi Skychief.
