I need to make a three leaf rear sight for a rifle I recently finished. I have an original sight that I'm try to copy, but can not get the measurements to make it. The base should'nt be that hard, but I can't figure out how tall to make the differnt leaves. Does anybody know if there is a formula to tell the height/distance ratio? I forgot to mention it's going on a rifled wall gun, so size does matter :hmm:
Thanks,
Greg

If it is a wall gun it doesn't matter, just stagger them & make the second 2 graduate up 3/16" on each.

Sight Calculator

A= The range in inches divided by the distance between the sights in inches.

B = the amount you want to move the point of impact.

C= the amount you must raise or lower the front or rear sight.

You want to move the point of impact 6" at 100 yds that's

100 yds = 3600" , divided by a 36" sight radius = 100 that's [A]

6" divided by 100 = .06 that's .06 is [C]

B divided by A = C
