The time is getting close. I hunt Elk Nov. 29th - Dec 4th....this will be my 1st flintlock hunt. I have an either sex tag on about 1800 acres of Open rolling sage brush hills.

It is snowing there now with a chance for more about mid hunt (so says weather channel) I just looked at CDOT road camera http://www.cotrip.org/device.htm 13
CO-13:17.68 mi S of Baggs looks like 3-5 inches. I need the snow to move the elk out on to the "flats" where I'm hunting, so if you guys in NY could box some up & send it to Maybell Co :haha:

I'm likin that snow south of Baggs! That's right on top of my RFW site at 4mile.

Last year was perfect with about 12 to 15 on the ground. The real wrecker is warm weather and mud.

looked at pics of your ranch and you are biting off a tough hunt for an ML! Hope for really tall sagebrush.

we hunt first week of Jan. Undecided on weapon. Bow? ML? Milsurp?
