My dad was a fantastic wing shot, he and 2 friends could eliminate a covey of quail. We ate them all.
He lost his dominant eye at 40, oil field accident.

Guns are a big part of our culture. He started shooting left handed. His wing shot never fully recovered; no depth perception. I've seen him follow and shoot at 70 yard doves.
His rifle and handgun shooting recovered. He made some incredible shots at game left handed. He never owned a LH gun. He shot my muzzleloaders left handed, as I did.
It did not happen overnight, but was a steady process.

Me? Was born left handed, never shot a left hand gun unto I was 30, I built my 1st muzzleloader in 8th grade, owned several, but never shot a LH muzzleloader until I built one; a 40 caliber Early Lancaster flint, a few years ago. As a kid it was a perceived weakness to wear safety gear, so I shot tons without it. Now I know better.
Even today I own more muzzleloaders then I care to admit, but only 2 LH guns.

Here's a tip. Take an old sock, cut off the toe. Use it as a guard for your wrist. It really works. A trap shooter taught me.
I wish you health and prosperity.

Detached retina and surgery left me at 20/500 in my dominant right eye. No choice but to learn to shoot left handed. Pellet gun and/or .22's you can do a lot of practice shooting without breaking the bank.
Need I say that I am VERY careful of my left eye? Shooting glasses. Goggles when I mow. Sunglasses when it is bright.

I agree a pellet rifle would be great, quiet enough for the back yard, and affordable. Keep shooting LH, ventilate some coke cans, how most of us started. If you get a high power air gun, turn on Pandora in the yard.
We're trying to get you back to shooting, not discuss the merits of which pellet gun to get. Just get one and be a kid again!!!
