THAT is the question....
My hunting buddy wants to get together for a squirrel hunt on Jan 23rd...
BUT that's day three of the Winter Turkey Season (Spring turkey = only shoot Toms but Winter = any sex, BOOM)
So do I tell him and we try for a turkey or two, and probably pass on a bunch of squirrels (which is ALWAYS the way things work out)...,
OR..., since there is the Spring Turkey season still to come in 2021..., do we go ahead and pop some squirrels... ???
And the ONLY way to do both is to shoot squirrels after bagging a turkey since cutting lose at a squirrel in the woods with a 20 gauge tends to give the turkey a good clue to go the other way...
