Has anyone actually ever done this kit? or done parts of it. I’m wondering how cheap I can make a Flintlock while still using a quality lock, barrel and trigger. All I got right now is a traditions Kentucky rifle flintlock and I’m trying to upgrade.

I done one years ago, if memory serves me correctly, it requires a lot of work. I’m not sure of your skill set, but if I was in the market of getting a Fowler kit, I’d look hard at Kibler’s Fowler. The Kibler Fowler is pretty much a snap together kit ( from what I gather, is easier than my woodsrunner was) and can be assembled easily. It took me longer to sand and polish the brass and barrel than it did to assemble my Woodsrunner.

I know, but I’m poor. I’m trying to figure out a way. I can get my hands on a smooth bore Flintlock that is somewhat quality.
