:hatsoff: Congratulations to you all that had success. I didn't see a deer this year. But I enjoyed everyday of the hunt. The deer in our area was down this year. It seems we have had alot of road kills this year. My cousin had to call the sheriff to get the OK to take care of a deer, that a car hit just ahead of him last Saturday nite. Was still alive when we got there. It ruined the one hind quarter but the rest was just fine. Was a young Doe. So I guess were not eating track soup. But I will be burning some powder for next years hunt. So they better look out. I'll be better next year. :rotf:

I just closed our regular season with nuttin. Had some snow (finally) and the best deer trail was just off our back deck and between our creek right behind the house and my compost pile on the other side of our garden. A rock's throw from our kitchen to either side. :rotf: Of course, I've been hunting the ridge a half-mile farther away. You gotta love whitetails.

Tomorrow I have off for vacation and two more days this weekend - all m/l season - so I have yet a chance to pester the deer. Two guys who I gave permission to hunt my property brought me a goodly supply of venison, so I guess we won't starve even if I don't get on the board this year. It's been a good season none the less.

Well Hacksaw,
Better Luck next year. :v
Kinda don't hardly seem fair thet some guys can get multiple Tags and fill all of them too and the rest of us have to work darn hard sometimes just to even see one. :hmm:
:winking:

Good show on dispatching the doe. That is the humane thing to do. Most people would have just shaken their head and left her to suffer.

I thought so too. And it's tasty too. :)
