Can anyone place this gun or know where it might have come from?
Said to be an original but...even looks unfired from what I can see on the frizzen.

The markings would suggest it was made by sitting fox muzzleloaders. Finished Guns #1

I'm not sure about that. Something really looks different/off about this one. Anyone can buy those stamps. My guess is Indian. Does NOT mean a bad shooter, but I think it's an Indian.

Well in that case might be worth it if I can get some life advice from Mr. Ghandi, eh?
Looks new and seein's how they're pretty much unobtainium I think for $700 I can take a chance on it.
Said to be in dad's locker the last 10 years.
Agreed about the trigger though.

Take a close look at the trigger. Maybe the trigger guard is misplaced? Looks like it may not have been inletted. I imagine that can be fixed though.
No scratches on the frizzen so unfired.

It looks like the trigger is too far forward relative to the lock. The 2nd. & 3rd. photos show the blade of the trigger coming out of the stock. It's like there is no trigger plate there. For the quoted price I would walk away.

Same gun though as evidenced by the rear screw on the left scroll feature.
