Right now I'm working on my first powder horn. It's just a small priming horn I'm practicing on. I'm planning on buying the book "Recreating the 18th century powder horn" before I start my second horn. As I've been working on this one I've been getting curious about how they would have been made in the 18th century without some of the tools we have. Does the book talk about the old ways of making them, or just how to use modern tools to make one?

:thumbsup: Go for it CWC. That book will be the best investment you will ever make when it comes to making horns.
As you will see when you read through the book, modern power tools are not necessary, they will make things a little easier, and speed things up a little, but are not necessary.
:grin: And don't forget we all want to see some pictures of the finished project.
Have fun;
Soggy
