Re how bad the stock: I removed too much material underneath the trigger assembly, trying to get it to line up with the lock. If I cock the hammer, and sit the trigger assy into the recess the hammer will fall without me actually touching the trigger.
Also there is a fracture starting at the nose and running about 3" down the length of the forearm. I'm not sure when/how this happened, but I noticed it just after my issues with the trigger.
I know that some of these kits are 'plug and play', but this one has given me a fair amount of headaches. I am no carpenter, but I have built a few wooden boats and decks. This one has been more frustrating than anything I've done so far.
Re the bbl swaps. If the trad 50 bbl fits in the cva, great. If it doesn't then I'll sell it to someone else who is building and may want a spare/unfired bbl.
