I also may have been being a bit hyperbolic, as I have a tendency to do.

I am excited for my next range day, where I can try out a few things I have learned here already.

Black powder being different than centerfire is why I am interested in shooting again.

This discussion on powder charges reminded me of a story, some years ago, a friend of mine's father picked up a muzzleloader pistol. My buddy took his father to the range to shoot the pistol and "dad" complained that he couldn't get the ball into the barrel. My friend check the problem and discovered that his father had put so much powder down the barrel that it right at the top, of course there was no room for the patch and ball. Funny but not really as dad could have gotten seriously hurt by the pipe bomb he created.
