That joint seems to be the problem area, especially lately. Another post said Traditions admitted providing a spacer plate that was too thin. If it was me I would just fabricate a wooden spacer to make the fit right. As everybody says, they are good shooters once you finish it.
 
I found the spacer on mine was a bit thin but the bigger issue was it was not flat. I started making one out of brass stock but when I test fit it, the thicker brass just didn't look good to me. In the end I made a wood spacer and glued it in.
