Maaayyyyybe?
:blah:

Nahh, iron sights only. While I do like to hunt at night (full moons) I have'nt reduced myself to using a light yet.

One thing to learn with a double- Call it the side shuffle or crab crawl. Quick second shots are kinda academic with a cloud of white smoke between you and the target. I learned to step sideways for the second shot, or just wait it out till the critter ran out of the cloud or the smoke cleared enough you could see again.

Picture me shooting white snowshoe hares on white snow.

Are the two flip up sights supposed to be for two different ranges or one for each barrel?
that depends on how well regulated the barrels are. some of these guns regulate well some don't. if you have one that regulates poorly then you could use one sight for each barrel. some of these rifles regulate better with RB's and some with bullets. my .50 and .58 Kodiaks wouldn't regulate with RB's although the individual barrel groups were tight. so i could have used the one sight for each barrel idea. i personally prefer a load that makes both barrels hit to the same spot or close to the same spot. in my rifles it took a conical to do that. my .72 Kodiak shot RB's from both barrels within an inch of each other at 50 yards with the first load i tried. my .50 was the most difficult and time consuming to get a load to bring the barrels close together. if fact it was the worst one with regulation as when i finally got it to quit cross firing by upping the bullet weight one barrel still hit higher than the other. at 30 yards it was negligible but at 75 yards it was more like 4-5" and at 100 yards it was 6-8".

I was just telling my buddy who I run the lease with that I was gonna be bringing someone down shortly to use up my guest days.

I'm headed down 95 right now to kissimee WMA to creep around the swamp tomorrow and chase pigs and skwerls with "Anvil" (I have named it that in honor of it's rather portly heft.. LOL)
