One of the members of my RevWar unit has been wanting to put together a tavern that we could be set up at events and when my brewing partner and I joined the unit we put this together.

http://64.41.64.113/tavern/

Last Saturday was the grand opening and we did a Colonial Style Porter and a hard cider that were served after the site was closed to the public. We plan on setting up a large fly off the front of the tent and having tables set up outside, with period style games and entertainment.

During public hours we give talks about brewing related subjects and how taverns had a variety of uses during the 18th century.

Ah, the colonial tavern....birth place of the revolution, center of political thought and discussion, source of news and conversation. Alas, that was before this grand institution was corrupted by television sets and video games.

Any "Wenches" allowed??? With the "Spirals" :: :: :shake:

Any "Wenches" allowed???

I certainly hope so!!!!!!!! :: you would even ask. what would a tavern be without a wench or two??????
snake-eyes  :hmm:  :) :peace:

A bar without "wenches" is ,well, the Enlisted Men's club on Guam...at least when I was stationed there.

.......and you didn't bring any of these fine brews to share with your fellow FSTPMLC members at the Washington Creek Rondy???!!! :boohoo: Is that because you were afraid someone was gonna "fireproof" your tent after drinking copius amounts??!!!
