I used just an oil finish no stain and it has darkened pretty well. My Cherry kibler colonial .58 smoothbore

Here is my SMR in cherry i finished in 2020. I only used Tried and True and let it darken naturally. The first 2 pictures are right after i finished it. The picture with the deer is from last November. Sorry i don't have a recent close up. I really like the Tried and True finish but it is easy to scratch which is OK with me as my gun is a working gun not a show piece.
