I’m not very good at math, but I can see where there’s a lot of experimenting to do. So, I guess maniac better get busy and make some more videos. Winter’s coming on and we need something to watch!

I've been doing just that! I have almost 20 videos ready to post over the next few months. I hate cold weather & seldom get out & shoot when it's REAL cold. Brrrr....LOL

I wonder if how the bore diameter between the lands compare?
Did the Pedersoli have more wiggle room?

Not sure about that.....both guns has a 1:48 twist. Other than barrel length, I can't tell you if there's any difference.

If I heard you correctly on the video, you were using .480 balls and ticking is normally .016, Thats a hair undersized.. but yet your accuracy with both patched balls is really good. What lube are you using? Also noticed your ramming the balls home with the threaded end of the ram rod, I was always told to use the “pusher” end... it acts like a cradle and helps to keep the ball from mishaping. Pretty intersting video...thanks for sharing!

If I remember right.....I used water on the patches. I never turn the ramrod over to load roundballs. The only exception is...when loading paper wads in the smoothbore, I'll use the jag end. Otherwise, that's an extra step unnecessary for me. I might be wrong, but, its easier to pull the rod & stick it on the ball & load. Thanks for asking...
