WWOW ! where are the Texicans ?? Howdy from the Piney woods of East Texas!
My relatives way way back settled in east Texas. They starteda town in north east Texas called "Hooks" Named after Robert Warren Hooks. They also got lumber from the Piney Woods to build the town back in the middle 1800dreds.

Apologies on my first attempt at trying, and failing miserably at making an introduction, and figuring out how this all works...I think I might be on a good path now.

My Name is "Cascade" Pete. I am a Living Historian and Historical Interpreter. Army and Government Agency Veteran, Artisan, and a bit backwards in modern society. Together, with "Sweet Baby Jane" and "Lady Eilene", we keep the West Coast Fur Trade alive. Big fan of Smoothbore guns. Hunt and shoot only NW Trade style guns.

Appreciate the patience of those who have helped me figure this page out. You are True Gentleman. To those I may have offended, My Deepest Apologies. To much crazy going on in the world today, to anger folks I don't even know.

Ah, a bit backwards in modern society? You've joined the right place!

I'm trying to figure out how to make my 12ga trade gun more reliable. It's a round barrel with an Italian made Lott lock. The frissen is plenty hard but doesn't have much resistance, may need to do something with the spring? Anyhow, welcome!

Welcome from South Dakota. I would be interested in hearing about the hunting with the NW Trade Gun. Hunt deer with them?
I hunt deer, elk, bear, and Cougar with them. Even here, with all the rain, I've never had an issue with them. Whole group of us go out every year, living primitive, and hunting smooth bore Flintlocks. Just have to sneak in closer for the shot. Make a better hunter out of anyone. Highly recommend it.
