Ideas, Ideas, Ideas. Here is another, I know that there are people that will turn a stock from your wood. I am wondering if I took my T/C Hawken and found a pcs. of T. Walnut, had it turned without the T/C Hawken patch box how it would look. I would think it would be beautiful. Very high grain and contrast.

It would be a real one of a kind. There is lots of figure in Turkish Circassian Walnut. Where did you get the wood.
Fox

I have a friend who is a custom gun builder who can get any grade I wish.

Yes, it would be Very nice. However, again we go to the thing of having $500-600 more into a $300 rifle. May as well add a new barrel, new lock, new trigger & make it a full $ 1000. in the $300 rifle ? :hmm:
I am not knocking the rifle, they are good rifles. But to me it is kinda like putting $3000. worth of mag wheels & a $5000. paint job on a 12 year old Nissan Sentra.
The TC is a utility rifle, and good proven one just like it is, but it is still a utility rifle.

However, it is your rifle & if that is where ya want your $ to go, have at it !
