I am looking into TVM for a new rifle. I have a Hawken in 58 cal and would like the same in the new gun. I don't know a lot about them-TVM, is there Leman close to what an original would like? Does anyone have one of there Leman's. Pics would be nice to look at.

I am working on a TVM Leman kit right now. A friend has an original Leman that he has allowed me to use as a model for finishing the kit. The TVM kit is pretty close to the original, probably 80-85 percent match. Some of the proportions are a little different. Basically, the original Leman is a much slimmer rifle--there is a lot of wood on the TVM stock. With the pre-inletting for the lock and barrel and the pre-drilled ramrod channel, it is not possible to exactly match the original but it is turning out pretty well. The buttstock and wrist looks very close to the original although, again, the original Leman is a much slimmer rifle.

You will like working with TVM. I have a Virginia rifle and a Flint pistol from them. Good people and give you a good return for your money. I told Matt what I wanted he made several sugestions based on what I wanted the rifle for. Could not be more pleased with the rifle. Will be going to them for my next rifle.
