Must be pretty hard sleeping. I still have 5 months wait until my Early Lancaster will be ready. I bought a TVM colonial fowler at Dixon's fair a few weeks ago, it is definetly helping me put up with the wait. Let's us have some specs on your rifle. Best of luck with it!

Lou,

My TVM Tennesee Mountain flinter is my favorite rifle. Mine is a .50 cal. Plan on using it to take deer and hogs.

Have fun.

Hey River rat that fowler is pretty nice I bet I have looked at and held some of these they seem sweet!!

LHunter, I have over 200 rbs though it already and I smile everytime I make smoke. I Did not touch the front sight, I am learning to shoot it by instinct. I haven't shot a rifle since I got it. I guess you can say it was love at first sight. TVM sure makes a shoot'in smoothie

Arrived today as promised.

45 cal flinter 42 inch oct barrel 3/4 inch with brass butt plate, toe plate, back plate, trigger guard and thimbles. Iron nose plate and sights. Buckhorn rear. Plus premium maple, brown color. It points like my finger and is light.I will use it for targets 99% of the time. I hunt with a 62 smooth bore flint once( I need more practice) or my 54 Lyman GPR percussion (2004) before I used inlines.

I will start with 30 grains fff Goex or 40 ff Goex. a 440 ball and .010 patch. THis weekend.

Lou That sounds like a nice comnbination, :winking: Good Shooting to You.
