Horner75 was gracious enough to tell me how he makes the twisted tip on his horns. I figured I'd try one and this is how she came out.Took about 10 hours! :shocked2:

well, that ain't bad.. but be lot easier if ya did it when they's in velvet...you hold the tip, they'll spin around.... :thumbsup: :wink:

Great job SW, now I guess you will have to spend a little more time doing some scratchin' on it :haha: I wish i had that kind of talent i would go in to work in the morning just to tell them to kiss ole' Smo's a**
 
What tools do you use to cut horn?? Certainly not
a wood burner..

I've seen some really nice examples of this technique, and actually met a guy who traded a rifle for a horn like that.
Now I wanna try it :grin:

Very nice I like what you did with that is this something that was done on period type horns ? not bashing anyone just curious

LHunter, yes there are some examples of originals in Dresslars horn book. I wouldn't go through the hassle and head scratchin' fer nuthin'! :haha:
