Two vent holes?? Whats up here?

Saw this gun on gunbroker, its very nice looking but i never saw two vents before. You guys see this before?

Intriguing, and I don't think it's exactly a new idea. Carefully made too...I greatly magnified the image to find the holes are each externally coned AND they are directionally angled towards fore and aft, seemingly to ignite both front and rear of the powder charge simultaneously.
Would like to see a scientific comparison of this idea to the traditional single hole performance regarding such things as breech pressure, muzzle pressure, terminal muzzle velocity, etc.
 
Never seen that myself. And it probably doesn't make any difference in any practical use. But if one hole ever gets plugged, hey you still got another that might not be?

I'd be glad to have it, it's a neat little unique detail. Just because it's different doesn't mean anyone has to claim it's revolutionary.

It would be worth it to me just to watch the crusty fellows argue over it LOL
