Re: Rebel/Strykerdlh

Guess I lucked out as to the trigger slack and creep, although pull is a bit hard, it breaks clean like a thin piece of glass. If it doesn't lighten up with use, will do a little light judicious slip stone honing.

I suppose like all moving close tolerance mechanical things, things get better as the parts mate up with a little wear in.

All in all though, it sure looks like a keeper.

I'd rather have it tight like that than loose. I bought one one time from Cabelas and it shot excellent and didnt foul bad, but it had a ten thounsands gap and it spit back at times...............Bob

Know what you mean, but sometimes there is tight, then there is TIGHT.

to open the cylinder-barrel gap lay a piece of emery cloth on a pane of glass and hone the nipple end of the cylinder takeing care to keep the cylinder flat on the paper. it won't take much so check as you go. 6-8 thou. is ideal clearance. I use a 7.62X39 case(AK-SKS case) as a powder measure, it's 32 gr. 3F. that and a felt along with a Lee conical leaves just a little room in the chamber but it's just right for consistent loading ram pressure.
