More than 40 years ago, a friend had one and shot it at the range when I was watching. He had to hold it with his left hand balancing the trigger guard, because if he moved the hand forward at all, he would be burned by the cylinder gap gases.
The velocity and power were not impressive. Because of the gas leak between the cylinder and barrel, the velocity doesn't come close to matching that of a .44 caliber " carbine". I would consider it a very marginal deer gun, but okay for plinking and varmints. For the money, you can buy a better rifle.
