I don't know if I should post photos but these are a couple of unusual antique pistol photos I had gleened from the internet. The first is by Cusson & Rossignol and has Belgian proofmarks. The second is Swedish and I cannot find the info now. Forgive me if this is not appropriate. It may not interest others as it interests me. The second photo needs to be clicked to zoom so that it can be viewed right. I had posted these elsewhere.

Well they interest me, thanks for the photos of some unique concepts!
I may as well take this opportunity to post photos of my latest project. I had this 6" scrap of a 20 gauge barrel and kept thinking there should be something I can do with that, so this is what evolved.
The first photo shows it in all its' pieces, about as simple as it gets.

This photo shows it assembled with "hammer" down, or actually up on the nipple.

This photo shows it at the half-cock carry position where it can safely be carried ready to fire with just a long pull on the deliberately heavy trigger like a double action revolver.

And here's me firing a .590 patched ball with 50 grains 3f, ouch! 30 grains is not bad with either the ball or one ounce of shot but 50 grains bruised my palm and the trigger guard raised a blood blister on my second knuckle. Well, after all, it only weighs 17 ounces. To give you a better idea of the amount of "up-chuck" I had been aiming downward at a target on the ground about 30 feet away.

Interesting pistol, similar to one seen in Backwoodsman magazine. I have a crappy old rifle barrel that I'd like to use for a project like that. Barrel is still sound but pitted and figured that in pistol form for close work the pits wouldn't be too detrimental.

That's really cool! May I ask what you did to achieve that simulated color case on the frame?

Joe,
That's pretty neat, nice job. I have just recently completed a full stock, one piece, UH rifle and my try a pistol next.

It's just heat coloring, put a small tip on the acetylene torch and play with it.
