I would think more than enough "meat", I know the 12 John Taylor madefor my uh's has no prob with any load I came up with and I'm ruff on them. Fred :hatsoff: ( the flint lock uh is a easy build if you use a gun that's made now ( John can tell ya which one if he wants to) I couldnt get around the flash in the face afaaid it would be a hand gun thing ony.)

I had a crazy thought. The same gun with a fully rifled barrel for shotgun season. Weird idea? I think it would be an ideal slug gun for shotgun only areas.

could we be on to a good idea? poor man's zephyr? whats the twist rate on a 12 gauge hastings rifled barrel? what kind of projectile could it stabilize? i've got a 20" fully rifled that i don't use. always wanted my own cannon.

Check my post 8 above your. I got me a rifled barrel they may end up on my UH. It's in 12 ga. It even had a cantilever scope mount. That would probably disappear though.
