Undertakers bag

I'm not sure how this leather is processed. It is Saddle tan Mocc weight Elk leather. I use Fiebing's "Antique finish" Dark brown on the leather. Apply it, let sit and dry, then wipe off with a damp rag. :thumbsup:

I don't think I would ever thought of doing a bag like this if it wasn't for Undertaker sending the pic and asking if I could make one similar.

Thanks for the info Swampy. I want to build a bag alot like that one. I love the pockets and small pouches. There is nothing more aggravating than knowing what you need is in there and you can't put your hand on it, without alot of movement or noise. That might be alright at the range but when that buck is standing there it's no good.
Yessir I like that bag. You can call that your evreything and the kitchen sink model! :rotf: :rotf:

Can I ask where I could get some of that dye? I just got my tanned elk hide back, it's a pearl color so I'm going to experiment with Rit, and later antique it. Thanks

The original picture is of a Leatherman's bag, but the piece that Swamp Rat turned out is more realistic in appearance and sewn to last with the welted seams and hand stitching. Nice work.

I have a Leatherman bag, and it doesn't have that handmade look and feel that swampy's bags do. I prefer swampy's bags. :thumbsup:

Thanks guys, my biggest concern I think when I started making bags was that home made look. Whether the bag was exactly "PC" or not, I wanted it look as if some country kid 200 years ago sat down and made the bag. :thumbsup:
